Provocative Lookbook #15: Neutral
Hot tubbing, early burlesque choreography, and cheeky no-makeup shots in costume
It’s been a busy start to the year with much on the horizon, but let’s reminisce for a bit by going back to my time spent in San Diego in October of last year.
Once I was done with my conference in Temecula, I was eager to get back to SD for “me” time. I was staying in Sunset Cliffs but spent time shopping and browsing Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Liberty Station, and Hillcrest (of course shopping in Hillcrest). If you know me and the area, I could have spent my precious two and a half extra days traversing the museums at Balboa Park, but that would have to wait for another trip.
As I’ve talked about multiple times, I’m desperate for and really have to utilize my time. I don’t have the financial resources nor PTO to really take in the sights. Much of my journeys include itineraries for specific shops or events, and I’m usually multi-tasking my vacation time with errands. I’m also known for getting shin splints because I’m walking too much to avoid using Uber. I don’t know how other people do it. To just relax on vacation and have little to no plan. I think that’s why when people ask what my ideal vacation would be, I say just a spa day, even locally. My mind and body never stop.
I did spend time in the hot tub at my Airbnb, and of course, I couldn’t just enjoy myself until I took photos and video. You’ve seen a few of these during last year’s brief recap, but here’s more where I can easily overanalyze how my pectus excavatum causes my rib cage to flare outward, how to turn my head slightly to make my nose look more pointed and less round at the end, and notice the small bump from a belly button piercing I got when I was 18.
