Chapter 16
She sipped her chardonnay and looked out over the Puget Sound towards Seattle. A smile crept on her face.
Your world is falling apart…because of me.
“Would you like your check? You are more than welcome to stay and enjoy the view as long as you like?” the handsome server asked, handing over the bill.
“Thank you, I think I will.” She handed him a 100 dollar bill. “Keep the change.”
“Thank you, I truly appreciate your generosity. I’ll check on you momentarily if you need anything else.”
As he finished clearing her table, she sat back in the upholstered dining seat and scanned her phone for furnishings for her new condo. It was the end of July and she had laid low throughout the most brutal winter the Pacific Northwest had seen in years. She quietly plotted and set up a new life until everything was perfect. She was always told she was sporadic and inpatient, but she dedicated many months to yoga, jogging, and being smart with her money. She could settle into this new life, but whether it was revenge or proving herself, her last curtain call would be taking everything away from Georgie. After all, she was drugged and tossed aside, but thankfully, the dosing of that sedative was not by accident.
