Not to be crude or disrespectful, but have you looked for people like minded on some lifestyle sites? Sometimes you may meet someone with the same emotional maturity and see select sexual encounters as a form of enlightened intimacy towards friendship. Easy enough to see who are the one and done and those who want a friendship before the sex , one and done are usually the ones that are crude talking and chat non stop about what they think they can provide you, sorry I'm rambling on, been a while since I've had grown up chat, lol

Thanks, George! It was good. Got to connect with a group of people that made me feel "normal" as we delved in topics like relationships after purity culture, dismantling patriarchal views, enm/poly, and so much more.

From what I gleamed from this latest entry is that you're tired of having to be the compass, moral or otherwise.

People seem to gravitate to you expecting you to educate as life proceeds without the courtesy of sharing positive input into yours and their lives. Typical take and take more without sharing

Roy, it is rather exhausting. I don't mind being a positive influence in their lives, but I usually find I'm expected to perform or absorb. When I need encouragement, there aren't too many people around. It's too much for them. In all fairness, maybe I'm too much. 😂

I imagine it's a holdover from being absorbed at one time in the hypocrisy of religion. You were expected to be everyone's anchor and you were supposed to be happy with faith being yours. So maybe if they know your past history, they unfairly assume you should be able to handle their burdens without giving you a positive outlet ,
